Shield of Faith
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
We are now uniformed for service in the army of our Lord. We bare His mark in our hearts, His fruits in our life. Our loins are girt in His Truth, our bodies covered by His Blood, our feet prepared to follow Him. We are prepared, at last we may go into battle boldly, with confidence in whom we serve. The war rages, and our weapons are prepared for us.
We take up the Shield of Faith, the Faith which GOD has given us. It is our Faith in His guidance and the Love he has placed within us that will guard us from the assaults of our foe. "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isa 54:17 KJV) We stand as GOD's servants, HE is our shield. All that is brought against us shall be turned back, and our GOD will make every hardship into our blessing. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Rom 8:28 KJV)
(Rom 8:35-39 KJV) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This is our Faith, Hope and Love, that nothing can seperate us from GOD. No attack of the enemy can ovecome us, his weapons are as smoke and vapor to us. GOD is our Shield and our Salvation, in HIM we stand , unmoved. The Fiery Darts of the enemy fall as sparks in the water before us. The Lord is our strength and our fortress, who can stand against us. The Lord has given us the Bonds of Perfectness and filled us with His Eternal Love. As long as we hold on to this Shield, all the powers of Hell can not restrain us. Stand strong in the Lord and take now the Helmet of your Salvation.
