Sword of the Spirit
The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. At last we are prepared to draw on our Spiritual Weapon. Our GOD has given us the Word to expose the lies of the enemy. (1 John 4:1-3 KJV) "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."
(2 Tim 3:16-17 KJV) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
(2 Tim 2:15 KJV) "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
(Heb 4:12 KJV) "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
GOD has given us HIS Word, the very power that spoke the worlds into being, for the defense of the Saints. This is not a toy for our pleasure, but an honor to bare and humbly wield. We must understand what it is we bare. This Sword of the Spirit which is the very Word of GOD. (John 1:1-5 KJV) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
This is an awesome responsibility. We must wield it in respect and reverence, taking care not to harm those we seek to save. (1 Cor 10:32-33 KJV) "Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved."

ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware
of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they
will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought
before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against
them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no
thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in
that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak,
but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. And the
brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the
child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and
cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men
for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be
saved. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into
another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over
the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his
lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and
the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the
house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his
household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered,
that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye
hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not
them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but
rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them
shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very
hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye
are of more value than many sparrows.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever
shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father
which is in heaven.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to
send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance
against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the
daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall
be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother
more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or
daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not
his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that
findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for
my sake shall find it.
