Unity In Christ Jesus
(John 15:5
KJV) I
am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in
him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do
nothing.
(1 Cor 12:27 KJV) Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in
particular.
(Eph 4:4-6 KJV) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are
called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one
baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through
all, and in you all.
(John 14:19-20 KJV) Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no
more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that
day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in
you.
Praise GOD for
our Unity in Christ through the Holy Spirit. Just think of it, we
are one with Christ as He is One with GOD. Now think of your
brothers and sisters in Christ, they too are one with Christ and
so one with you and i. We are One Body, perfect and Holy through
Jesus Christ. A Holy Priesthood after the order of Melchesidec.
Yes, that brother you can't seem to get along with is part of
this too. You are inseparably joined to him just as you are to
Jesus. That gives a whole new perspective to the One Body, does
it not.
If your heart gives you trouble, do you yell at it, or cast it
aside and ignore it? Then why will you do this to your brother,
who is also part of Christ's Body. Do we not realize that when we
hurt our brothers and sisters, we damage the Body of our Lord.
Jesus said " Whatever you do to the least of these you do
to me". We can not
hurt our brothers without hurting ourselves and grieving the
Spirit which is in us all.
We are indeed diverse, yet woven together into an immortal tapestry of Love. We exist as the outward manifestation of our Lord and Savior just as He manifested GOD in the Flesh. Now, i am not a member of the new age "ecumenical" movement. This is not about denominations or churches getting together, working together, nor the attempt to make christianity "politically correct" and blend it into some one world religion. i am talking about the very Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ, of which each of us are a part. In Him is life, and if we are not in Him we have no life. Our denomination, or style of worship, is not important. We are diverse in gifts and in administrations, yet we are all ONE in Jesus. The Body of Christ exists throughout our world, it is the Salt and the Light of the world. Even in the darkest places there is some little light, and even in the deadest congregation there is a little salt.
The Holy Spirit is calling together the Body in these last days. Calling us out of this world and its fallen ways. We are being drawn together and burdened in our spirit to seek each other out. Because of this, some have left their "dead" churches, pulled away from fellowship, but then they are lost, not knowing what to do next. Feeling cut off and alone, we feel the call to "come out of her my people", but also the call to unity. Some are confused, frustrated. This is a hard time, but these are only the pangs of birth. The One Body is slowly, painfully forming in unity to await our Lord, our Head. The Holy Spirit is quickening many to the work of unifying, nurturing, blending the diverse parts of this awesome whole.
We all need each other. Apart we are nothing, powerless and alone. Together, as we follow our Lord, we harmonize into a Holy symphony, praising GOD who created us. Each part is essential, and each must blend with all the others. There can be no schism, or the melody is destroyed. GOD is the author of perfect order, and that only comes through complete obedience to our Lord. It is time to put aside our dogmas, our doctrines, and take up the Cross of Christ and follow Him. Let us all stand together on the WORD of GOD, led by the HOLY SPIRIT, joined by LOVE, in expectation of our Lords return.
The Master comes soon, trim the lamps, light the way. Bring in the lost sheep and order the fold. Prepare for the wedding feast of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
