In the valley

Many of us find ourselves in a valley. Valleys of decision, valleys of doubt, valleys of sadness and depression, even valleys of sickness and death. But Jesus promised He would be with us, even to the end of the age. He will never forsake us. He is always at our side, even if we try to walk away.

Recently i have been in a valley, as have many i have talked to. There is a feeling of something coming, just around the corner, just out of sight. The Lord has allowed me to see a little beyond the walls of the valley. Many, around the world are in this valley with us. Waiting, praying, knowing that the Holy Spirit will move soon. We are all being prepared, being marshaled like troops for battle, for the coming flow of the Holy Spirit. The WORD says that in these last days the "Spirit will be poured out on all flesh". An out pouring like never before. It says "and your sons and daughters shall prophecy, your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams." But not yet...

Yes many are already experiencing this great revival, but only a foretaste. Of this time Jesus proclaimed that we should do Greater Works the He. When the day comes the WORD says that the least among us shall be like Mighty Men. Yes Revival is coming. And we are gathering together in the Valley to await His Promise. But not yet...

Why the Valley? Did not Moses spend forty days in the wilderness, the Hebrew people forty years. Was not our Lord 'driven' <Mark 1:12> into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit. Can we expect to simply step out of our casual lives into such a mighty ministry? We need our time in the valley, alone with GOD. We need to forgo the Joy of our Salvation and share in the sorrow of our Savior. Take up your cross and follow Me, sayeth the Lord. We need time on our face before our GOD. This world is in the pains of birth, shall we stroll casually by? Or fall on our face in agonizing prayer for redemption?

Before we can take part in the coming 'latter rain' of the Holy Spirit, and the Revival that will bring, we must develop a deep yearning in our souls for our lost brothers and sisters. No longer seeing them as 'sinful' or 'lost' but as our own flesh and blood, suffering and tormented by sin. They are 'flesh of our flesh and bone of our bone' and without salvation they will DIE. It's not about preaching, or teaching, or even evangalizing. This is Life and Death. If some one you loved was dying, and you had the cure, what would you do? What Would Jesus Do?

You have the cure! The world is dying! What are you going to do? No, they will not always listen to you, they might reject the Gospel. But the WORD says that the Prayers of the righteous availeth much. Pray for the lost. Not some prim and proper churchy prayer; a real heartfelt, gut wrenching, availeth much prayer. Like Jesus on the cross... "FATHER FORGIVE THEM THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO" Fall on your face before the GOD of the universe, fall on HIS tender mercy, then pray that HE give you the very Heart of Christ and pray for the Lost.

If you are in the Valley now, there is comfort. GOD will not leave us in the valley too long. The time is short, the feilds are ripening to harvest and the workers are yet few. Use this time to grow in the Lord, seek the heart of Christ and the very Face of GOD. Over and over the Holy Spirit says "Soon" it will not be much longer. But not yet...
